Theatreperson Shashank Purushotham suffers burns

Theatreperson and TV actor Shashank Purushotham suffered severe burns after he toppled a cup of coffee on his thigh. The incident took place last week when the actor, who made quite a buzz in the city’s arts circuit recently through his directorial debut on stage, was fetching the hot beverage from a Swiss coffee maker. He sustained 100% burns, but is said to be recovering at home.
Titled Untitled, the play he directed revolved around the life of a child who is born neither as a girl nor a boy.
