Tamil director Mari Selvaraj has a knack to get into the hearts of audiences with his unique style of storytelling that also explores the issues faced by society. The director has once again proved his magnificent talent in storytelling with the recently released political thriller ‘Maamannan’ which has reportedly minted Rs 1.50 crores in the opening weekend.

Although the makers have not yet disclosed the collection figures for ‘Maamannan’, according to the sources, the Fahadh Faasil starrer has managed to mint Rs 1.50 crores from the Kerala box office in the opening weekend.

As the movie is getting highly positive responses from Kerala audiences, it can be expected that the movie will be minting more numbers at the box office in the coming days.

Recently, the Mollywood actress Maala Parvathi was all in awe after watching ‘Maamannan’ and penned on her Facebook note that the actor Vadivelu deserves a National Award for his terrific performance in the movie.

Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Maamannan’ hit the big screens on June 29 this year and the film received highly positive responses, especially for the magnificent acting by Vadivelu, and Fahadh Faasil.
