Although the makers have not yet officially announced the collection figures for Vijay’s ‘Varisu’, according to the Kerala Twitter forums that track the box office collection figures, the movie has minted Rs 2.70 crores on its opening day.
Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ reportedly had a good opening in Kerala, even though not his best compared to his previous movies. According to the sources, the shows tracked for ‘Varisu’ in Kerala include 1102 screens and had occupancy of around 53.36 percent.
Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ is reportedly getting average reviews from even his hardcore fans and it has a high chance that the film would work well among the family audience as Vamshi Paidipally has crafted the emotions very well to cater to them. Overall it can be expected that ‘Varisu’ will be earning much more figures in the coming days from the Kerala belt.
‘Varisu’ hit the big screens on January 11 along with Ajith’s ‘Thunivu’. Both movies are now getting only mediocre reviews from the audience.
