He spoke about how comedy scenes are slowly disappearing from Malayalam cinema. He said, “At one time, satellite channels used to regularly air comedy clips. Actors like Pappu chettan and Jagathi chettan ruled that space and entertained everyone. But if you search for a comedy clip from the last 10 years of Malayalam cinema, you won’t find much. It has become very rare.” 'Aashakal Aayiram' is Jayaram’s next Malayalam film as a lead actor after 'Abraham Ozler'. Kalidas Jayaram also plays an important role in the movie. The film is directed by G Prajith. He earlier made 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie' and 'Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikkuvo'. The script is written by the '2018' fame Jude Anthany Joseph.
