ETimes got in touch with the actor Moor who plays a pivotal role as a Sinhala boy character in ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yathra’ and the actor seemed to be all excited to be part of the project. “I thank Shankar Ramakrishnan sir for making me a part of ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yathra’ and he is the reason how my first film ‘Pathinettam Padi’ happened. During the shoot of 'Kadugannawa Oru Yathra', I was not confident enough about whether I will be able to deliver the Sinhala language flawlessly, but Shankar sir motivated me and has indeed helped in soaring up my confidence level.”
During the interview Moor also said that when he was through his tough times after the film 'Pathinettam Padi', Shankar Ramakrishnan helped in motivating him and even said that he will turn out to be a super actor within two years.
Talking further about his character, Moor said, “In the movie, Mammookka’s character is in search of a woman named Leela in Srilanka and I will be playing her son’s character. Even though in the original storyline penned down by MT sir there are no dialogues for my character, in the movie’s script which is written by Shankar Ramakrishnan sir I am getting to deliver some dialogues in Sinhala language.”

When talking about the experience while working with Mammootty, one can sense the excitement in Moor’s voice. “Even though I have worked previously with Mammukka in my debut movie 'Pathinettam Padi', I got more screen time with him in 'Kadugannawa' as majority of my portions in the anthology segment are combination scenes with the legendary actor. When I went to take blessings from Mammukka by touching his feet, he told me not to do so and added a witty remark saying that I shouldn't do such a deed solely based on the fact that he was born several years before me. Mammookka was so down to earth and I would like to say that I wish to cherish each and every memory with him that are purely magical.”

‘Kadugannawa Oru Yathra’ is based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s memoir by the same name that revolves around the events during the writer’s journey to Srilanka for an international conference. The film is directed by the veteran filmmaker Ranjith.

On the other hand, Moor’s recent outing was with the comedy-drama film ‘Sreedhanya Catering Service’ which was directed by Jeo Baby. The actor also has several highly ambitious projects in the pipeline including ‘Captain Miller’, and ‘Swathanthryam Ardharathryil’ Tamil remake.
