Naslen’s latest release ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana’ has made an impressive debut at the box office, raking in Rs 2.75 crore net on its first day, according to early estimates by the Sacnilk website.
Impressive occupancy ratesOn Thursday, April 10, 2025, Alappuzha Gymkhana recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy of 75.78%, peaking at 86.77% during night shows—highlighting a solid word-of-mouth buzz and growing footfall through the day.

Morning shows stood at a respectable 62.45%, and occupancy gradually increased through the afternoon (75.03%) and evening (78.88%), showcasing the film’s rising momentum.
Comparison with ‘Bazooka’Meanwhile, superstar Mammootty’s action thriller ‘Bazooka’, which released on the same day, took the lead with ₹3.25 crore net across India. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Bazooka managed to draw crowds largely due to Mammootty’s magnetic screen presence and the film’s slick action narrative. The film saw an overall occupancy of 48.53% on Day 1, with night shows drawing the most attention at 61.66%.
Regionally, Bazooka performed best in Kerala, with Kochi recording an outstanding 75.5% occupancy overall and a remarkable 95% during night screenings. Trivandrum followed with 52.75%, while Chennai and Bengaluru witnessed modest turnouts of 45% and 25.25% respectively.
