Anarkali Nazar plays a singer in Mohan Kumar Fans

Director Jis Joy’s next venture Mohan Kumar Fans will have yet another newbie stepping into Mollywood. The comedy drama, which has Kunchacko Boban in the lead, will introduce model Anarkali Nazar.
Further on her role, its director Jis tells us, “Anarkali’s character Sreeranjini is a singer who takes part in reality shows in the film. She is also a struggling interior designer.”
Anarkali, who was a civil engineering graduate, has worked for a while as an airline professional, before taking up modelling full time.On her debut film, she says, “I knew Jis sir earlier as I had worked with him for ads. When this opportunity came up, he called me and I was excited to give it a go. I am no singer in real life, but used to imitate and lip-sync for songs, for fun, while with friends. But thanks to the support of everyone in the crew, I believe I have given it my best.” The actress, who hails from Karunagappally, is also part of the upcoming Asif Ali movie Kunjeldho.
Anarkali says working in her first film had its challenges too. “For instance, I have a dance sequence with Kunchacko Boban, who is seasoned dancer. I am not trained in dance and all I have done is shake a leg fot college events. But, the crew and Chackochan in particular were patient with me till I got steps right. As the set was quite supportive, in fact, I feel the shoot was like a breeze,” says the artiste.
The script of the film, which also stars Siddique, Krishna Sankar, Saiju Kurup, Vinay Forrt, Sreenivasan, Basil Joseph, is by Jis Joy and story by Bobby and Sanjay. The film’s music is by Prince George and William Francis.
