Kannan Thamarakkulam’s romantic thriller Udumbu. “My character’s name is Hima, and she belongs to an extremely wealthy family,” reveals Angelina, adding, “She is quite demure by nature and doesn’t like to hurt anyone.
At one point, she gets into a romantic relationship with a goon, and eventually marries him. But due to certain circumstances, Hima commits a murder. The movie goes on to show what happens there on.”

The actress reveals she came onboard after one of her friends alerted her about an audition for the role. “I directly went and met Kannan sir on the set of a film he was directing. Then and there, my audition was done and that’s how I got selected,” says Angelina, who credits the film’s team for guiding her through this project. “My character is quite older than my real self, but director Kannan sir, scriptwriters Aneesh Sagadevan and Sreejith Sasidharan, cinematographer
Ravichandran sir and Senthil chettan helped me do justice to it. I especially can’t forget shooting some of our complex sequences, which were canned at night during the rain, for the kind of support they gave me,” the actress says.
The movie, which also has Alencier Ley,
Dharmajan Bolgatty and Hareesh Peradi in major roles, was wrapped up in early 2021, after shooting extensively in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and around Athirappally Waterfalls.
