Acclaimed writer and poet
Balachandran Chullikkad, who has been always vocal about the degradation of Malayalam language, has now hit out at new superstars in Mollywood. The ace writer has apparently said the sad situation in Malayalam cinema today is that the script of the movie has to be written in 'Manglish' for the young superstars in Malayalam.
'Manglish' a term used to mention the mixing of English with Malayalam is considered a shame to the Malayalam language by veteran writers.
Chullikkad went on to say that the present crop of actors doesn't know Malayalam language and they are the ones who rule the industry currently. The writer expressed his opinion after receiving the felicitation from FEFKA writers union.
Earlier this year, Chullikkad in a press meet has said to avoid teaching his writings in Universities as he found that most of the professors are ineligible to teach the Malayalam language.
