In Sugeeth’s Ordinary, we heard Biju Menon speak Palakkadan slang. Now, the actor is all set to try out Kanjirappally slang in his next outing, Vellimoonga.
The actor will play a political leader representing a national party in Kerala in cinematographer-turned-
director Jibu Jacob’s debut venture.
Joji Thomas, the scriptwriter of the film says, “Vellimoonga is not a political drama but a family entertainer set in a small village in Kannur.

The title refers to a rare species of owl and it relates to the lead character in the film. The story revolves around the life of a 42-year-old, unmarried politician, who mixes politics with his personal life. He deals everything in his life in a political way.”
Nikki Galrani of 1983 will play the female lead in the film. “Biju is in search of a life partner and comes across Nikki, who plays a nurse,” says Jibu. Actors Aju Varghese, Lena, Tini Tom, Kalabhavan Shajon, Siddhique and Sunil Sugatha also play prominent roles in the film.
