On the movie, the filmmaker tells us, “Jan-E-Man means sweetheart and this film is sort of a romcom but it’s not just about the love between couples; it also deals with friendships and kinship including the relationship between parents and siblings.”

The film also has Ganapathi, Siddharth Menon, Riya Saira and Abhiram Radhakrishnan as part of the cast. “All the actors in the film have roles of equal importance; they are all heroes and heroines as each character is vital to the story. We will also be introducing an actress with the film,” says Chidambaram, who has also scripted the movie.

Chidambaram had earlier assisted Jayaraj in direction and Rajeev Ravi and KU Mohanan in cinematography. “I have been working on different scripts and during the lockdown, I zeroed in on this subject and everything just fell into place really quick for the film to go on floors. The entire film will be shot in Ernakulam and it will be extensively set inside houses. We are planning to finish it in a single schedule,” he says.

The film's cinematography will be by Vishnu Thandassery, who had earlier worked with Samir Thahir, Amal Neerad and Shyju Khalid, while Bijibal will handle the music department.
