Dev Mohan sends birthday wishes to his ‘Shaakuntalam’ co-star Samantha

Actress Samantha is ringing in 35 today, with a handful of projects that would be abundant enough to keep her 2022 calendar packed. This birthday is unique for the star for a lot many reasons, including having an exciting release ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’! Wishes are pouring in for ‘Sam’, as she is lovingly addressed by her fans and friends, and her ‘Shaakuntalam’ co-star Dev Mohan too joined the bandwagon in wishing the diva on her birthday.
Dev Mohan took to his social media handle and posted a lovely picture with the birthday girl Samantha and wished, “Happy birthday Sam🤗🤗🤗 @samantharuthprabhuoffl.”

Written and directed by Gunasekhar 'Shaakuntalam' is touted to be a mythological film, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen playing the role of princess Shakuntala. Dev Mohan has roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, Dev Mohan had shared, “The makers had seen my debut film and they zeroed in on me based on that project. It was a long process, with many preparations involved, like horse riding, sword fighting and the like, which took a month to learn.”
While wrapping up his portion of the project last year, Dev Mohan dropped a picture with Samantha on social media and said, “Thank you @samantharuthprabhuoffl ❤️… It was an amazing experience with you... I should say your support during shoot was remarkable and that really helped me to lift my character…”


On the work front, Samantha’s latest film ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ has hit the screens on Thursday (Apr 28). Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film features Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Samantha plays the role of Khatija in the film. Vignesh Shivan’s directorial tracks the life of a man who lives a double life as a cab driver and bouncer falls in love with two women with contrasting personalities. The film is receiving mixed reviews from the audience.
