Ezra will hit screens on February 10. Here are five reasons to checkout the film!

'Ezra' has generated curiosity ever since the first teaser was released online. Directed by debutant Jay K, the film is a horror thriller starring Prithviraj and Priya Anand and is expected to be a spine chiller. Here are five reasons why you should not miss it in theaters:
A complete horror thriller
According to the makers of the film, it belongs to an honest horror genre.With Hollywood style spine-chilling yet exotic shots, the film promises to be a visual treat. Though there have been several horror films in Mollywood, Ezra promises to give its audience a feel of paranormal incidents similar to that of Hollywood thrillers like 'The Omen' or 'The Conjuring' series. According to reports, even the crew had experienced some spooky incidents on the sets ever since the film commenced its shooting. Later the team had to bring a priest to bless the 'haunted' shooting location at Fort Kochi.
Two Timelines
Kerala's Jewish history is the backdrop of the film and a significant ingredient of horror is induced in the film through this aspect. It surrounds around the spirit, Abraham Ezra, a Jewish man who lived in the per-independence era. Actor Prithviraj had earlier told us that the movie is set in Mattanchery during the pre-independent era in the 1930s in Jew Town and also in the present time period. Priya Anand and Prithviraj play a young couple, whose life changes after a preternatural presence enters their lives. The film seems to have a dybbuk ( an evil spirit) in it and going by the clues given out by the trailer, it's for the viewers to guess who will fall prey to the dybukk.

For the Prithviraj fans out there, Ezra is sure to offer you something new from him. Though he had tried his hand on the genre earlier through the film,' Anandabhadram', 'Ezra' does not have the usual parallel comic track. The actor promises his audience to get a taste of his new venture centered on paranormal force. He plays the lead character and the trailer assures that the actor will give his audiences something new to take back with them.
Malayalam debut of Priya Anand
Priya Anand, the leading lady of the film, makes her debut in Mollywood through Ezra. The actress who had worked in numerous industries had revealed that Ezra is the most technically superior movie she has ever worked on. Stellar star cast
The film has lined up a star cast that features actors like 'Maheshinte Prathikaram' fame Sujith Sankar, Babu Antony as a priest, Sudev Nair, Pratap Pothen and Vijayaraghavan in significant roles. We will also see a cameo by Tovino Thomas, who plays a cop in the movie.
