‘Feminichi Fathima’ OTT Release: When and where to watch Shamla Hamza starrer that earned Kerala State Film Award

‘Feminichi Fathima’, the highly anticipated Malayalam film that hit theatres on 10 October, is now gearing up for its digital debut. The movie stars Shamla Hamza as Fathima, a performance that also earned her the 55th Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 2015. Along with her, the movie also stars with Kumar Sunil, Viji Viswanath, and Praseetha.The makers have now confirmed that ‘Feminichi Fathima’ will stream on Manorama Max from December 12. The film’s digital rollout follows the pattern commonly seen with recent Malayalam releases. The movie tells the story of Fathima a homemaker whose life moves around doing domestic work but it is disrupted when she needs a mattress, because she has a bad back from lying on the bare cot, then she has to fight for her basic needs. At the end of the movie her husband comes and asks her nervously, “Fathima, are you a feminichi?” , then she answered yes.The movie explores themes of equality, financial freedom and emotional resilience.
