After the superhit movies ‘Neram’ and ‘Premam’, the audience is literally waiting for the renowned director Alphonse Puthren’s next ‘Gold’. Unfortunately, the Prithviraj starrer which was supposed to hit the big screens on Onam this year was rescheduled for a different date which is not yet announced by the makers.
Recently the director Alphonse Puthren shared a comment on his Facebook handle explaining the real reason why his next ‘Gold’ is getting delayed. Answering a fan’s question, the ‘Gold’ director said that there are several pending works remaining from the movie ranging from CGI works, and music to color grading. Alphonse Puthren also mentioned that the release date of ‘Gold’ will be announced as soon as these pending works are finished. He also said in his Facebook comment that even though ‘Gold’ was planned to hit the big screens on Onam, as there were several pending works to be done it was delayed and he doesn’t want to deliver a half-baked movie for the audience.

Alphonse Puthren also apologized for the delay in ‘Gold’ and promised in his Facebook comment that he will be delivering a fully cooked ‘Gold’ for the audience. Earlier the producer of the movie also reportedly said that he doesn't even have an idea regarding the actual release date of the Prithviraj starrer.
Helmed by the ‘Neram’ director Alphonse Puthren, ‘Gold’ is said to be an entertainer and the previously released posters also got wide recognition from the audience. Earlier the makers unveiled the teaser for the movie featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara who will be playing lead roles in the movie.
