Hollywood music composer Mark Kilian joins Mohanlal’s ‘Barroz’!

Hollywood music composer Mark Kilian, best known for his works in 'Deep Blue Sea 3', 'Eye in the Sky', and 'Pitch Perfect', among others has joined the crew of Mohanlal’s ‘Barroz’. A passion project, ‘Barroz’ marks Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture.
Mohanlal has confirmed the news of Mark Kilian joining his team. The superstar dropped a photo with the musician and welcomed him to the team.“Team Barroz welcomes musical genius Mr. Mark Kilian onboard! #Barroz #santhoshsivan #Jijo #RajeevKumar @antonyperumbavoor @aashirvadcine,” Mohanlal said, in his social media post.

Touted to be a fantasy thriller, ‘Barroz’ will feature Mohanlal in the titular role. The film revolves around Barroz, a treasure guardian who has been protecting something very precious for the past 400 years.
The film was announced in 2018, and 'Barroz' was said to be based on legendary Jijo Punnoose's story. However, a few months ago the 'My Dear Kuttichathan' director said that his role in the film diminished with time, as, in his story, the central character is a little girl and not Barroz. He also divulged that he had re-written the script for over 22 times, however, his only involvement in the current project was executing a rotating set scene for the film.
Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Barroz’ wrapped up the shoot, a while ago, and looks like the film has gone into post-production.
On the other hand, Mohanlal was recently filming for ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ in Rajasthan, which is helmed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
