Director M Mohanan, who was scouting for a new heroine, has finally found Honey Rose as the female lead opposite Suresh Gopi in his next. Earlier, Mia George was roped in as the lead in My God. But the actress had to opt out of the film due to her commitments in Kollywood. Mia had given dates for her K-Town film, Indru Netru Naalai, much before the Mollywood project. The shoot of My God was supposed to begin last week but got delayed as the director was busy hunting for a new heroine.
It is after a small gap that Honey Rose has signed up for a film. She will play a paediatric psychologist and Suresh Gopi the CEO of an IT firm in the film. The movie revolves around the struggles of a 15-year-old boy. It has Vineeth Sreenivasan and Joy Mathew in prominent roles.
Earlier this year, Honey had enrolled for a fashion designing course at Ootty but quit the course owing to strict rules and regulations she had to follow. Later, she joined college for an undergraduate course in Communicative English. Now, her University exams are nearing, but it remains doubtful whether the actress will be able to write her exams.
A source close to Honey says, “Honey won’t be able to give her exams as she has a few films lined up. The one with Suresh Gopi will start next week and in between the schedule break, she will join the set of Shajoon Kariyal’s Jayaram starrer.”
