Actress Gauthami Nair made her debut as a small town girl in Srinath Rajendrans 'Second Show', opposite Dulquer Salmaan. From then on, only village girl characters have come her way. Gauthami will next be seen in Rakesh Gopans untitled project, again as a small town girl. Its a women-centric movie, and I play a student. The story revolves around five women, who share the same flat.
It further goes on to tell how an incident that happens in the flat changes their lives, she says. Gauthami will share screen with
Shwetha Menon,
Meghana Raj,
Bhamaa and Aparna Nair in the movie. They play an IT professional, television reporter, bank employee and a homemaker.
The three-film-old actress says she is not bothered whether she will get typecast. I liked the script so much that I didnt want to miss out on the opportunity, she says. However, Gauthami says she would love to play a glamorous role in her next outing. Unfortunately, no one has approached me with a modern or glamorous role till now, she says and adds that she is ready to wait for the right role to break away from the mould.
