Although the director Jijo Punnoose has only helmed a few movies, the milestone he has achieved with them is truly applaudable and according to the recent updates, his film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ which was released in 1984 is all set for a re-release in English version by the name ‘Chota Chetan 3D’.

According to the updates, the re-released version will be having some added sequences which were shot for exhibition at the Cannes Film Festival.

Jijo Punnoose himself has supervised the works of the new version of the film and the re-released version will be hitting soon in cinemas this year.
Regarded as the first Indian 3D film, ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ is really something that the Malayalam cinema is still proud of, and all thanks to the master brain Jijo Punnoose who stepped forward and did wonders with the fantasy drama movie. The music was composed by Lydian Nadhaswaram and the script was penned by Raghunath Paleri.
Meanwhile, Jijo Punnoose opted out of Mohanlal’s debut directorial venture ‘Barroz’ as he was not quite happy with the fact that the script was modified to suit the interests of Mohanlal’s fans. Reportedly, the English version of ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’ will be hitting the big screens before the release of ‘Barroz’.
