Iniya polishes her badminton skills

Her skills on the dance floor are much sought after, but not many know that Iniya is also an ace badminton player.
The pretty Malayali actress is all set to take part in a prestigious badminton tournament featuring Kollywood celebs, which will be held at Canada next month, and says she is beyond excited to grab the racquet and make the serves.
“As a student, I was quite active in sports and used to be a regular contestant in events like swimming and badminton, and have also won prizes in them,” recalls Iniya.She adds, “Though I used to jump to the court for fun with my brothers and sisters during vacation or whenever time permitted, it’s been a long time since I played the game. However, for the past one and a half months, I have been devoting time to train for the badminton match and I am overjoyed to take part in it.”
As of now, she is the only actress from Malayalam, who will be taking part in the event though there are other artistes like Vijay Yesudas, Munna and Ramesh Nambiar, who are also expected to play the game. From Tamil industry, actors Jayam Ravi, Bharath, Krishna and singer Krish are among the participants. The event is scheduled to be held at Toronto.
