Although the exact release date remains unconfirmed, speculation suggests that 'D 149' is contemplating a grand entry onto the silver screen, possibly gracing theaters on either April 25 or 26. If these reports materialize, the Malayalam film buffs can anticipate a cinematic treat during Vishu 2024, as 'D 149' joins a lineup of anticipated releases including 'Varshangalkku Shesham,' 'Aadujeevitham,' 'Jai Ganesh,' and 'Aavesham' slated as Vishu specials.

Marking Dileep's 149th cinematic outing, this upcoming venture boasts a screenplay penned by Rajesh Raghavan, helmed under the directorial guidance of Vineeth Kumar. Sanu Thahir is on board as the director of photography, while Midhun Mukundan orchestrates the musical landscape. The film's editing responsibilities rest in the hands of Deepu Joseph, overseen by project head Roshan Chittur.

Adding depth to the film's auditory experience, renowned lyricists Shibu Chakravarthy and Vinayak Sasikumar craft soulful verses, complementing the creative vision. Sameera Saneesh, the costume designer, and Ronex Xavier handling makeup contribute to the visual finesse, while sound design takes shape under Sreejith Sreenivasan's expertise.

Amidst anticipation for 'D 149,' Dileep's previous venture 'Bandra' faced lukewarm reception, receiving criticism from audiences and falling short of making a significant impact at the box office.

Meanwhile, Dileep’s most awaited upcoming movie is with the director Ratheesh Reghunandan for the action drama ‘Thankamani’ which is based on true events. The recently released teaser for ‘Thankamani’ received good responses from movie buffs.
