Jakes Bejoy drops the orchestral ‘CBI’ theme music, which didn’t make it to the Mammootty starrer

Megastar Mammootty celebrated his birthday on Thursday (Sep 7). The legendary Malayalam actor turned 72, and fans and wellwishers from all walks of life poured in birthday wishes for the star. Music composer Jakes Bejoy decided to make the occasion extra special by launching a theme music from Mammootty’s CBI franchise.
On the occasion of Mammootty’s birthday, Jakes Bejoy took to social media and offered a heartfelt musical tribute.He shared an orchestral version of the iconic CBI theme. Recorded in Budapest, this rendition is also a tribute to the timeless composition from Shyam. The CBI theme, initially developed by the acclaimed composer Shyam, has etched itself into the hearts of countless Malayalam cinema enthusiasts. The theme's ability to evoke emotions and create an atmosphere of suspense and intrigue has made it an integral part of the iconic CBI film series, with Mammootty in the lead role.
Jakes Bejoy, known for his incredible musical compositions and contributions to the world of Indian cinema, has always pushed creative boundaries. His decision to unveil the orchestral version of the CBI theme on Mammootty's birthday is a delightful surprise for fans of both the actor and the composer.
In his social media post, Jakes Bejoy acknowledges that while the orchestral version of the CBI theme couldn't find its place in the film, it stands as a tribute to the genius of Shyam, who originally composed the iconic theme.
“On the Birthday of our dearest Mammookka here is sharing the orchestral version of the CBI theme we recorded in Budapest. This was the first piece of music that was recorded for the film. We couldn't use these ideas much in the film but will remain as my tribute to the legendary theme developed by Shyam Sir,” Jakes Bejoy wrote.
