Jayaram to team up with Ranjith for the first time

Director Ranjith’s next project will see him unite with actor Jayaram for the first time. Work on the film is likely to begin in the third week of October.
Confirming the news, Jayaram says, “This is the first time that we are joining hands for his directorial venture. However, I have known him for years. He has been the scriptwriter of 15 of my movies, including Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Pookalam Varavayi and Subhayathra.I had done a cameo alongside Mohanlal in his film, Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty, which had Mammootty playing the lead.”
Meanwhile, the actor is tight-lipped about the other details regarding the movie. “I can’t divulge other details regarding the same. The project will start soon,” says Jayaram, who is currently busy with the movie Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu. The two time National Award winning director reportedly has yet another superstar film, which has Mammootty playing the lead, in his kitty. The movie, which is based on Unni R’s short story, Leela, is scheduled to start next year.
