Jeethu Joseph BREAKS silence on 'Ram'; says Mohanlal will give dates anytime; shoot to restart next month
For a long time people were waiting to hear something clear about Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal’s film 'Ram'. The movie was first announced in 2020, and everyone was excited because this was their next project after 'Drishyam'. But then Covid came, the shoot stopped, and nothing moved forward. Many people even thought the movie was dropped. Now Jeethu Joseph has finally spoken and given a real update. He said that the team is planning to restart the shoot next month.
Talking to Reporter website, Jeethu Joseph said, “Serious discussions are happening about Ram. If God helps, there is a chance that the shoot may restart next month.” He also added that Mohanlal is fully ready for the film. Jeethu said, “Lal sir and Anthony have clearly said this is a project that must be given priority. Whenever I say the time, he will give the dates.”
Jeethu explained that Ram was supposed to be made in two parts. It was planned as a big project with many locations. But Covid stopped everything. After that, producers struggled with dates, locations, and costs. Jeethu said that this time the team is serious because updates about the film have been coming again and again. The director said the producers are trying very hard to make it happen now. Even though the film took so long, the director said that the team never lost hope.
Jeethu Joseph is writing the script himself. The cast includes Trisha, Indrajith Sukumaran, Samyuktha, Durga Krishna, Chandhunath, Anoop Menon and others. The cinematography is by Satheesh Kurup, and the music is by Vishnu Shyam. Jeethu also confirmed that action choreographers from Hollywood and other countries are working on Ram. This shows that the film is planned on a big scale with large action scenes.
When the movie was announced in 2020, the team had said that the shooting would take place in many places. Some of the locations are Chennai, Dhanushkodi, Cairo, Delhi, London and Colombo. These locations show that the story of Ram will be spread across different countries. Because of so many locations, it also became difficult after Covid. Now Jeethu says that if things fall into place the team will get back to these plans step by step.
While everyone waits for Ram, Jeethu Joseph’s new film 'Valathuvashathe Kallan' has been released. The film has Biju Menon and Joj George in the lead and is getting good reviews from the audiences.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
