Producer Joby George has reacted to the allegations made by
Shane Nigam and revealed that he had paid the actor Rs 30 lakhs for a single schedule. In a press meet held in Kochi, Joby George revealed that he has already paid the said amount to Shane Nigam for a fortnight long schedule for 'Veyil', which is still pending. Joby also said that this would be the first time in the history of
Malayalam cinema that an artist is asking for such a huge amount for a 16 day schedule.
Talking to the press, Joby opened up that the actor had asked for Rs 30 lakhs before signing the project and upon starting the shoot the actor had demanded another Rs 10 lakhs.
Joby had further stated that he has no intention of hurting anyone and all he needed was that the project should be completed on time. Claiming that Shane hasn't co-operated for the shoot, Joby also clarified that he never made any death threats to the actor.
Earlier, Shane Nigam had raised a serious allegation against Joby George the producer of his upcoming movie, 'Veyil'. Shane claimed that the producer was threatening him for getting a haircut for his another project, 'Qurbaani'. Shane took to his social media handle to open up about the issue and has also written a complaint to the AMMA Association regarding the same. However, Joby dismissed the allegation and added that Shane has gone against their contract as Shane was only supposed to change his look after completing 'Veyil'.
