Kalyani Priyadarshan hails Dulquer’s ‘Lucky Baskhar’; says, “Grippingly written with great performances”

After the underwhelming action drama movie ‘King of Kotha’, the Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan made his perfect comeback with Venky Atluri’s directorial ‘Lucky Baskhar’. Now it seems that the actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has found her favorite film of the year so far, as ‘Lucky Baskhar’ has started streaming online.

Taking to her official Instagram handle, Kalyani Priyadarshan praised Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Lucky Baskhar’ and called it one of her favourite films of this year.”

Kalyani shared an Instagram story with a note that read, “What a watch!!! Dulquer Salmaan I love watching you have fun on camera and when Nimish Ravi Garu is behind that camera extra magic happens... Grippingly written with great performances from everyone and definitely one of my faves this year ."
Written and directed by Venky Atluri, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ is set in the year 1980-1990s and Dulquer Salmaan plays the lead titular character in this thriller drama film. Apart from Dulquer, Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female lead in the film.

Audiences praised ‘Lucky Baskhar’ terrific screenplay along with the magnificent performance of Dulquer Salmaan as the lead character Bhaskar Kumar who is a bank officer. The story revolves around a conflict that happens when a middle-class cashier who struggles to meet both ends, embarks on a risky investment scheme, pulling him into the world of money laundering. The movie had a thrilling narrative which is similar to the popular series ‘Scam 1992’.
