What you should know about ‘L366’?
The upcoming Malayalam film, tentatively titled ‘L366,’ marks Mohanlal’s reunion with director Tharun Moorthy after their blockbuster ‘Thudarum,’ released in 2025. ‘L366’ is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, best known for his previous works, including ‘Pullokkaran Stara,’ featuring Mammootty, and films such as ‘Ishq,’ ‘Adi,’ and ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana.’
How Malayalam Cinema Quietly Dominated Indian Cinema in 2025
Mohanlal essays the role of TS Lovelajan, a policeman, in the film. The makers earlier dropped a first-look poster featuring Mohanlal. The legendary actor was seen in the garb of a cop, wearing a pair of slippers and holding his police boots in his hands.
The poster took the internet by storm for all the right reasons, and audiences are now eagerly waiting for more updates.
Mohanlal, who joined the sets of the film on January 23, said, “Starting this journey with gratitude as I join the sets of #L366. Thankful for all your blessings and prayers.” Meera Jasmine has been roped in to play the leading lady in the film. Given that the National Award–winning actress has previously worked with Mohanlal in ‘Rasathanthram,’ among other films, the anticipation around ‘L366’ is massive.
‘L366’s technical crew
On the technical front, ‘L366’ has a squad of award-winning technicians from the industry. Tharun Moorthy is reuniting with ‘Thudarum’ cinematographer Shaji Kumar and music director Jakes Bejoy for the upcoming film. National Award winners editor Vivek Harshan and sound designer Vishnu Govind are also part of the crew. Other crew members include costume designer Mashar Hamsa, production designer Gokuldas, and makeup artist Ronex Xavier.
