Actress Manisha Koirala who enacted in the late director Lenin Rajendran's movie Edavapathy is deeply saddened to hear the sudden demise of the director. The actress told us, "I am really saddened to hear this. Madhu Ambat sir told me and it is a great loss."
The actress who is a cancer crusader was undergoing treatment for the disease during her shoots for Lenin's Edavapathy: No Man's Land.

The movie that told the tale of the mental conflicts of a Tibetan Buddhist priest, enacted by Siddhartha Lama, saw the actress playing the mother of the Buddhist's romantic interest played by Uthara Unni. Manisha played Uttara’s mother Sumithra as well as the role of Mathangi.

Director-screenwriter Lenin Rajendran (67) passed away in Chennai on Monday. He was undergoing treatment for a liver ailment at Apollo hospital in Chennai.
Lenin Rajendran made his directorial debut with 1982 film Venal. He went on to helm films like Swathi Thirunal, Daivathinte Vikrithikal, Kulam, Rathri Mazha and Makaramanju. His last directorial was the 2016 film Edavappathy.
