It is a much-anticipated historical drama and promises scenes rich with ancient martial displays, based on the famous 18th century Mamankam festival on the banks of the Bharathapuzha in the Malabar region. In a short ‘making’ clip uploaded on social media, we are given a sneak peek into the ancient world created over seven months. The sets are mind-blowing and it is exciting to catch a glimpse of the architecture, the murals, the clothes, the lights, the horses and the weapons in the film.
The film, starring
Mammootty, Unni Mukundan and Prachi Tehlan, and directed by M Padmakumar, is scheduled for a November 21 release.
