Mamangam

' has been hitting headlines thanks to Mammootty’s presence in the magnum opus. Even though the trailer revealed what the story is about, it maintained secrecy about Mammooty’s character. Recently at the film’s audio launch Mammootty spoke up about his character. Mammootty revealed that the name of his character is not mentioned anywhere in the movie and that's a significant trait of his character.

was treated by the Zamorin rulers. In the trailer, Mammootty's character is introduced as the Valyammamma (uncle) of Chandunni, the youngest warrior.

'Mamangam' is directed by Padmakumar and narrates the story of the Mamankam festival that takes place on the banks of the Bharathapuzha River. Shankar Ramakrishnan has crafted the screenplay for the film. Mammootty essays the bravest warrior and Unni Mukundan plays Chandroth Panicker. Achuthan, a child artist is essaying the role of the 12-year -old warrior, Chandunni. Prachi Tehlan is the leading lady while Kaniha and Anu Sithara are essaying pivotal characters.
