Mammootty used to punch on my fake belly: Mansi
It is her debut film in M-Town and Mansi Sharma is all elated. In the maiden movie itself, she could get a chance to share the frame with none other than Megastar Mammootty. While doing Acha Din she had no choice, but to give her best as she had to match every inch with the coveted star. The Punjabi actress had butterflies in her stomach not only because she was doing a film with Mammootty but also her costume was complete only with a fake pregnancy belly.

The leggy lass had to carry the fake belly around almost throughout the movie! Recalling the days of shooting, the actress narrates her belly adventures!
“At times, Mammookka used to punch on my bogus baby bump in jest and he often used to tease me about it. (laughs),” Mansi says, adding, “Midway through the shoot, I almost felt I was actually pregnant, and was quite exhausted like an expecting woman carrying the prosthetic around.” According to her, the hangover of fake pregnancy belly remained for a few days even after the shoot!
Mansi recalls that she also had daunting moments while shooting for the movie. She recounts one of the ‘scary’ moments and says, “I had to ride with Mammookka on a bicycle, that too through the busy roads of Kochi, sporting the belly! We shot it on the Ernakulam North Bridge in the morning, so that it won’t be very crowded. I was tensed, but Mammookka remained my pillar of strength and kept me at ease.”
Mansi plays a North Indian woman named Lakshmi, who is married to Mammootty’s non-Malayali character Durgaprasad in the movie. The film, directed by Marthandan, is scripted by Emmanuel fame A C Vijeesh.
