Mammootty - Vinayakan film starts rolling, see pics

Mammootty and Vinayakan will be teaming up for an upcoming untitled film which is bankrolled by the superstar’s production house. Now the movie has started rolling in Nagercoil with an official pooja function.

According to the reports, Mammootty will be playing an antagonist in the film which will also have Vinayakan in the lead role. Directed by the debutant Jithin K Jose, this untitled film marks the 7th production under Mammootty’s production house.Given the quality outputs from the production team, and from the reports of Mammootty playing a grey shaded character, the expectations for the film are high.

Jithin K Jose had previously wrote the story of Dulquer Salmaan’s crime drama movie ‘Kurup’ which turned out to be a massive success. The Mammootty - Vinayakan starrer will be penned by Jishnu Sreekumar and Faisal Ali will be the cinematographer. The editing section is handled by Praveen Prabhakar. Further details about Mammootty joining the sets and the plot of the film are yet to be unveiled.

Meanwhile, Mammootty and Vinayakan are teaming up after a long gap with this untitled project. Earlier both the actors were seen together in the superhit film ‘Best Actor’.
On the other hand, Mammootty is all set to kickstart the next phase of his career with the upcoming game thriller film ‘Bazooka’. The makers had dropped the teaser for the film which introduces a stylish Mammootty along with Gautham Vasudev Menon who also plays a pivotal role. Mammootty also has the GVM’s directorial debut in Malayalam, which was recently titled ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’. The actor will be reportedly playing a Sherlock style character in the movie.
