Manju Warrier can portray any role effortlessly: Jayaraj

Director Jayaraj, who has given Mollywood many memorable films, including Paithrukam, Kaliyattam and Desadhanam, rues that strong women characters are missing from Mollywood of late. “Though a number of women-oriented films are being made, we have very few actresses who can convincingly portray bold roles,” said Jayaraj.
However, the director says actress Manju Warrier, who is making a comeback to the big screen after a hiatus of more than a decade, is an exception.“Even after a long gap of 13 years, Manju remains the most wanted actress in Malayalam industry. That is not just because of her beauty, but her profound talent in portraying any role effortlessly,” says the director.
