Actor Manoj K. Jayan has penned a heartbreaking note on the demise of his father, legendary musician KG Jayan, who passed away on April 16. He recalled the beautiful memories of his father. While celebrating his father’s life and career, Manoj K. Jayan also opened up about an incident that hurt him during this unfortunate time of loss.
Manoj K. Jayan’s wife, Asha, who was very fond of KG Jayan, was devastated upon his demise. Videos of Manoj K. Jayan’s wife crying her heart out during the funeral surfaced online. While many joined her in her grief, a section of the netizens mocked her, as they couldn’t come to terms with the fact that a daughter-in-law could be so fond of the deceased.
In his recent note shared on Sunday, May 5, Manoj K. Jayan stated that it was painful to see people mocking his wife. He emphasized that for Asha, who lost her father at the age of 15, his own father wasn't just a father-in-law but a paternal figure. Manoj K. Jayan spoke about how his wife took care of his father over the years and how she even made up for all the shortcomings from his side as well. “There is no point in saying anything to people who don't understand the value and warmth of relationships and ridicule and criticize anything.
She is not a daughter-in-law in my family. It's saddening how some can ridicule even a daughter's deep love for her father. But it's a natural, deep relationship. She is the only one who knows her loss.”
Manoj K. Jayan also shared the pictures his wife took with his father over the span of 13 years, and the pictures resonate with the depth and warmth of the father-daughter bond.
