The hype is real for the
Unni Mukundan starrer action flick ‘Marco’! According to the latest reports,
Haneef Adeni’s directorial has collected more than Rs 90 lakhs in pre-sales, confirming the fact that ‘Marco’ is the most-awaited film of this year.
According to the Twitter page of the movie tracker Jerin, ‘Marco’ has collected Rs 97.11 lakhs in pre-sales, and the shows tracked for the movie are 847 reportedly.
Reports also say that the admits for ‘Marco’ have reached a whopping number of 53953 and the worldwide pre-sales for the actioner is nearing Rs 2 crores. ‘Marco’s stunning pre-sales figures have put the film the highest opening for Unni Mukundan, surpassing his superhit film ‘Malikappuram’s pre-sales collections which amounted to Rs 50 lakhs.
‘Marco’ is all set to grace the big screens on December 20 and the movie is touted to be the most violent movie ever made in Mollywood. ‘Marco’ has secured an ‘A’ certification from CBFC and this Christmas is expected to be ‘Bloody red’!
Reportedly, the makers are planning to skip the trailer release for ‘Marco’ as they want the audiences to watch the movie with a fresh mind and also to avoid revealing too much about the plot. There are speculations that Nivin Pauly will be making a cameo appearance in the movie as it’s a spin-off to the actioner ‘Mikhael’.
The earlier released teaser for ‘Marco’ had received good reviews from the audiences and it promised a violent action flick which is similar to Korean action-thriller movies. From cinematography to action sequences, and background score, ‘Marco’s teaser was quite impressive. A glimpse of Siddique’s character in the teaser has raised speculations on whether the movie will be telling the backstory of the villain Marco played by Unni Mukundan.
