Miya plays a small town girl

Mollywood beauties have always been favourites in Kollywood, and the next actress making steady inroads into the industry is Miya George. The upcoming Kollywood rom-com directed by debutant Nelson is Miya’s third film in Tamil, and the actress shares screen space with Thiruda Police fame Attakathi Dinesh in it.
Miya says, “My character Lakshmi is a quintessential small town girl, who is quite subtle and soft in demeanour.Everyone likes her and I feel the audience will also be able to easily empathize with her. I have just completed shooting my portions and enjoyed playing the character.”
Nelson terms Oru Naal Koothu a romantic social drama, wrapped in all-round entertainment. “We have been shooting in Chennai and Dindigul and have almost completed the film,” he informs. The movie also has beauty pageant winner Nivetha Pethuraj, Karunakaran and Balasaravanan in lead roles.
Miya has previously starred with Aarya’s brother Sathya in the well-received Amarakavyam, and Ravi Kumar’s science fiction comedy Indru Netru Naalai, in Tamil.
