Superstar Mohanlal is soon going to be reuniting with acclaimed filmmaker Anwar Rasheed for an upcoming entertainer. It happens to be a much-needed collaboration after the super-hit 'Chotta Mumbai', which was released in the year 2007. The Malayalam superstar who had a signing spree on-going, has a good run of projects in his bag, which will try and bounce back from the anticlimax of 'Malaikottai Vaaliban'. His 'L2 Empuraan' and 'L360' are pretty much the talk of town among fans.
Recently, Mohanlal also indicated his willingness to collaborate with new faces as well as veterans. Such willingness to collaborate and welcome change in partnerships reveals a certain commitment to acting development as well as participation in variety. As per the latest report, Mohanlal and Anwar Rasheed are again meeting each other for another project that has really sparked huge interest in social media platforms.
Reports reveal that the superstar will come on board for the film that is now being coordinated and produced with Weekend Blockbusters, headed by Sophia Paul. Production sources indicate the house has offered support for Anwar Rasheed's next outing; Mohanlal was reported to have been under discussion as the film's protagonist in case a collaboration with these two could be sealed, and an association would then be significant after a long time of nearly 17 years.
Their first movie, 'Chotta Mumbai', which remains a darling cult film in the Malayalam film world, was appreciated for providing the audience with a different zest of its action and comedy. There is Mohanlal Vasco Da Gama. He is popularly known as Thala, as he is a gangster from Mattancherry. The movie is streaming and is available on platforms like Sun NXT, OTTplay Premium.
Currently, he is busy with two other significant ventures with the upcoming exciting new one: 'L2 Empuraan' under Prithviraj Sukumaran and 'L360', directed by Tharun Moorthy. After shooting for these films, there will be a reunion again with the veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad for the family entertainer 'Hridaya Poorvam'. He was also approached for a role in the untitled directorial of Mahesh Narayanan, starring the ace actor Mammootty. Now the rumors of Mohanlal joining hands with director Krishand for an upcoming crime thriller only seem to be adding more strength to the massive fan following he already holds.
