Mohanlal promised he'd play an alcoholic in a different style: Siddique

At the audio launch of their next outing together, Ladies and Gentleman, director Siddique narrated how he got superstar Mohanlal to play the lead.
"I was casually narrating the story of my next film to him over dinner. That's when he said we'll do it. Though, I wasn't too convinced because Mohanlal had just played onscreen the role of an alcoholic in Ranjith's Spirit," Siddique said."However, he said that shouldn't be a deterrent to postpone the film, and he promised he'd play an alcoholic of a different kind in Ladies and Gentleman," he said.
The director was all praise for the versatile Mohanlal. "Any role is safe in his hand, and he is versatile enough to add his special touch to every character he plays," Siddique said.
