‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ teaser crosses 1.1 million views in two days

Taking the quote from the director Lijo Jose Pellissery himself, “No Plans to change. No plans to impress.” But the teaser for his upcoming Mammootty starrer film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ has indeed impressed the viewers as it has crossed 1.1 million on Youtube in two days since its initial release. The teaser is also trending at No. 2 in the streaming platform.

The teaser for ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ was dropped on March 18 which is observed as ‘World Sleep Day’ and the teaser works in parallel to the importance of the day as it shows a glimpse regarding the plot of the film which is about the residents of a particular village who sleep at broad daylight.

The teaser was first launched by Mammootty himself via his official Facebook handle with a note that read, “Here’s the First Glimpse of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam.”

The young and most charming Dulquer Salmaan couldn't hold his excitement on sharing the teaser for his dad’s most ambitious project. Dulquer penned a note along with the teaser that read, “The story of sleep!! Here’s presenting to you the quirky teaser of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam produced by Mammootty Kampany and directed by Lijo Jose Pellisserry.”
Shot majorly in Tamil Nadu, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ will also showcase the talents Ramya Pandian and Ashokan in pivotal roles.
The script of ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is written by S Hareesh and Theni Eswar will crank the lens for the film. Deepu Joseph is roped in as the editor and the sound design will be handled by Renganath Ravee.
Meanwhile, Mammootty and the renowned director Lijo Jose Pellissery will be teaming up again after ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ for the anthology film which is based on the short stories written by the veteran writer MT Vasudevan Nair. As per the reports, the segment directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery in the anthology film will be based on MT’s memoir ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yathra’.
