Directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, the movie features Naslen as Vineeth Madhavan, an aspiring Oscar winner. Naslen starrer ‘Mollywood Times’ will arrive earlier than expected. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the makers announced the new release date and also shared a motion poster that emphasizes the importance of self-love. ‘Mollywood Times’ will hit the big screens on May 14. The film is helmed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, best known for his directorial debut ‘Mukundan Unni Associates’. The makers also revealed that Naslen plays the role of Vineeth Madhavan in the film. The motion poster opens with a voice-over, which reveals that Vineeth Madhavan is a 11th grade science student from Kuttikanam, who aspires to become an Oscar winner. The voice-over continues, "Self-love is the best love. Happy Valentine's day."“Vineeth Madhavan will see you on May 14th,” the makers added. Check out the motion poster here.Starring Naslen, ‘Mollywood Times’ is scripted by Ramu Sunil, who earlier co-wrote the Asif Ali-starrer Rekhachithram. The film is set against the backdrop of the cinema industry. The film went on floors in July, 2025. Speaking about the film earlier, the director said that the coming-of-age tale would present Naslen in a never-before-seen avatar.
“I can assure you that, if you liked my first film, you will love my second,” he said. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and music composed by Jakes Bejoy. It is jointly edited by Nidhin Raj Arol and Abhinav.On the professional front, Naslen was last seen in ‘Lokah Chapter One: Chandra’, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan. He also has several big-budget projects, including ‘Torpedo’ starring Fahadh Faasil, Arjun Das, and Ganapathi. Some unconfirmed reports suggest that he is also part of Amal Neerad's ‘Bachelor Party D'eux’, which is the second instalment of the 2012 action thriller ‘Bachelor Party’.
