The director who has introduced several new faces including the ‘wink girl’ Priya Prakash Varrier, will be presenting four newbies as the lead characters in ‘Nalla Samayam’. “Neena Madhu, Norah John, Gayathri Shankar, and Nandana Mahadevan are playing the lead roles. The characters are students at a college in Bangalore. The film travels through the lives of these four characters and explores how an incident becomes a turning point in their lives. It’s a female-oriented movie laced with comedy,” Omar Lulu adds.
Omar Lulu also tells us that debutant Sidharth Shankar will be composing the music for the upcoming film, “Our film has three songs. We launched the film by recording a song crooned by Abhaya Hiranmayi.”

The team will be starting the shoot on June 27, and the film will be shot in and around Thrissur. Omar Lulu confirms that the film is billed as an OTT release, “‘Nalla Samayam’ will be a light-hearted entertainer. It’s a comedy entertainer like ‘Happy Wedding’. So, we are aiming for a festival release, probably for Onam,” he says signing off.

Omar Lulu also has another project ‘Power Star’ featuring Babu Antony in the lead. The film is scripted by the celebrated late Dennis Joseph, and is currently under production.
