Members of the Pandalam royal family have paid a visit to the sets of
Unni Mukundan’s upcoming film ‘Malikapppuram’. According to the reports, Deepa Varma, Arun Varma, and Sudhin Gopinath of the royal family have visited the movie set, to know more about the film, which is said to be based on Lord Ayyappa’s female devotee.
The royal family spend some quality time with actor Unni Mukundan, and child artist Devananda, who is playing the titular role. They extended their wishes for the project, and also shared their blessings.
‘Malikappuram’ as the title suggests has a female devotee of Lord Ayyappa as the protagonist. Touted to be a family drama with elements of fantasy, ‘Malikappuram’ went on floors earlier this week. Unni Mukundan commenced the shoot at Erumeli Sri Dharmashasta Temple. Apart from Unni Mukundan, the film also has actors
Saiju Kurup, Indrans, Manoj K Jayan, Ramesh Pisharody, Sampath Ram, Devanandha, and Sreepath in key roles. ‘Malikappuram’ is helmed by debutant Vishnu Sasi Shankar, and is scripted by Abhilash Pillai, who has crafted the script for many films including the recent ‘Cadaver’.
On the technical front, the cinematography of 'Malikappuram' is handled by Vishnu Narayanan. Ranjin Raj is composing the music and background score, and the lyrics are penned by Santhosh Varma and BK Harinarayanan.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Unni Mukundan has several exciting projects including ‘Mindiyum Paranjum’, ‘Shefeekkinte Santhosham’, and ‘Bruce Lee’ in the pipeline.
