Actor Prathap Pothan is on a roll. After playing a loveable mentor in Ayalum Njanum Thammil, the actor is gearing up to do a Kiran Bedi. The actor will play a police commissioner, who works hard to reform criminals, in Arun Sithara’s Paris Payyans. “We are used to seeing mostly cruel police officers. But the movie will portray cops in a different light,” says Arun.
The movie has drawn its inspiration from real life characters. “Paris is a colony and the story traces the life of two youngsters who get into trouble and are sent to jail. Pratap will be seen in three different avatars in the film,” says Arun.
Interestingly, the actor will be paired up with his Thakara co-star, Surekha. They are reuniting after 30 years. The story, script and screenplay are by Arun.
