Finally, the makers have unveiled the release date of Basil Joseph's most-awaited upcoming film ‘Pravinkoodu Shappu’. The expectations are quite high for the Sreeraj Sreenivasan’s directorial.

According to the latest updates, the Basil Joseph starrer ‘Pravinkoodu Shappu’ will hit the big screens on January 16 and the announcement was made by the actor Soubin Shahir via his official Instagram handle.

Soubin Shahir who plays an important role in this comedy thriller film, took to his Instagram handle to share a new poster from the film and penned a note that read, “‘പ്രാവിൻകൂട് ഷാപ്പ്’ ജനുവരി 16 മുതൽ തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ! #pravinkoodushappu in theaters worldwide from January 16, 2025.”

‘Pravinkoodu Shappu’ is promised to be a dark comedy investigation thriller and the movie is helmed by the debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan who has also penned the script. Shyju Khalid handles the cinematography of the film which has Shafique Mohammed Ali as the editor and Vishnu Vijay as the music composer.
Reportedly the story of this Basil Joseph starrer follows the investigation of a dead body which was found at a toddy shop. Basil Joseph’s police character investigates the crime and questions the 11 people who were present at the toddy shop during the crime. The movie is told in a humor-mixed thriller style and the recently released trailer had soared the anticipation levels for the movie.
Earlier in an interview, Basil Joseph revealed that he decided to take up the project after watching the short film named ‘Thoomba’ which was directed by Sreeraj Sreenivasan.
On the other hand, Basil Joseph is right after the success of his recently released mystery thriller ‘Sookshmadarshini’.
