It’s no secret that
Prithviraj is the most-sought after actor in Mollywood right now, and the actor’s schedule is packed for at least the next one year with both acting and directing assignments.
Recently, the star also made an inadvertent announcement at an event in Thiruvananthapuram, confirming another period project with director Viji Thampy. While he didn’t announce the title of the movie, the project that he was referring to is the film on Velu Thampi Dalawa, which will be scripted by
Renji Panicker.
Director Viji Thampy, whose previous directorial was Nadodimannan in 2013, says, “It’s a big project and Renji has now completed the script. We are hoping to start the shoot of the movie by 2019.”
The filmmaker though is tight-lipped about the rest of the cast. “The movie will have a lot of other actors as well in pivotal roles. And there will obviously be foreign actors to play Britishers of English East India Company,” he says.
Meanwhile, a source close to Prithviraj says that Velu Thampi Dalawa would be the actor’s next project after Aadujeevitham, which will begin filming in November. “For most part of the next year, he will be busy with directing Lucifer. He hasn’t taken a call on whether he would act in it,” says the source. “One he finishes Aadujeevitham, which will be shot over 18 months, he would start work on Velu Thampi Dalawa.”
