Directed by
Omar Lulu, with
Rahman playing the lead, and doing a comedic role for the first time, Bad Boyz is totuted to be an action-comedydrama. The film. scripted by Sarang Jayaprakash, is said to have a large ensemble cast of 45 actors, including Babu Antony, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Senthil Krishna and Bibin. Sheelu Abraham plays the female lead, as the wife of Rahman’s character.
“Omar is known for his ‘colourful’ films and this will be in the same mood, with an emotional story, that has a romance and fun,” say the makers. “It will also be interesting for the audience to see so many established artistes coming together on the screen, even for the smaller roles. It is a big-budget, festival film with a celebratory vibe, and that is why we were keen on an Onam release. Family audiences can leave the theatre in a happy mood, having laughed for two hours in the cinema,” they add.

Rahman’s character, Andappan, they say, will be one to watch out for, with the actor moving away from his usual serious roles to take on a humorous, action avatar. “The Aarambham Thulumbum wedding song, written and sung by SM Koya, with additional lyrics by arinarayanan BK, is already a hit on social media,” share the makers.
