The film is based on an adventurous case happened in Kudamkuzhi, Kasaragod that was cracked by four policemen.
The movie is co-written by actor-police Sibi Thomas who is famous for his performances in films like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, along with Sreejith D. The film Kuttavum Shikshayum features Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, Alencier, Sharafudheen and Senthil Rajamani and it is based on a jewellery heist case. Sibi is currently working as Inspector of police, vigilance and anti-corruption bureau and he was the investigation officer of the theft happened in 2015.
About the movie, he had earlier told us, "We weren't having any clue on how the theft happened. Through some leads, we found out that the culprits were from North India. A team of five through an operation at UP caught them and cracked the case," he said. Asif Ali plays the investigative officer which was Sibi in real life. "We have fictionalised the incident. As a policeman, my main intention is to bring out the risks and adventures that cops take up to crack a case. I am extremely glad to see our efforts being visualised on screen. While watching the shoot, I felt contentment. The film is shot realistically without any super heroic elements," he says.
