Says Arun Kumar Aravind, director of Ee Adutha Kaalathu, which was selected as the best Asian film at IFFK 2012
Director Arun Kumar Aravind couldnt have asked for a better impetus for his new project, Left Right Left, with his last movie Ee Adutha Kaalathu bagging the award for the best Asian film in the competition section at the recently-concluded International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

The editor-turned-director says, Im extremely happy because a foreign jury has selected it. They liked the movie and Ive been informed that they watched the film twice. Its very rare for a film that has been commercially successful to win the award."
Arun has begun filming his new flick Left Right Left, which reunites him with scriptwriter Murali Gopi and most of the team members of Ee Adutha Kaalathu, including Indrajith and Lena. The film will be shot in Trivandrum, Nagercoil and Hyderabad.
On consecutively choosing Trivandrum as the location for his films, Arun says, Except for the fact that the story takes place in Trivandrum, the two movies are totally different in concept and narrative. Left Right Left is a social thriller and is made on a fairly big budget.
The director is also hoping to continue his tryst with critically and commercially-acclaimed films. Im putting in my best. You can never be sure when it comes to cinema as its an art form. Im hoping it would click with the audience too, he says.
