Riddhi Kumar plays a strong protagonist in Chethi Mandharam Thulasi

Telugu actress Riddhi Kumar, who won over Mollywood as the beautiful girl from Lakshadweep in the Kamal directorial Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal, has bagged her next project in Malayalam. In the movie titled Chethi Mandharam Thulasi, which is to be jointly directed by Jay Janardhan, Rahul R and P Jimshar, the young actress plays a strong female protagonist. Sunny Wayne is the leading man of the movie, which is touted to be a love story.
Riddhi, who is yet to start shooting for the film, says, “As compared to my character in Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal, who is quite a young girl, the character in Chethi Mandharam Thulasi is older and mature. Her name is Thulasi and she is a bold woman. The movie is a love story. The character is shown as going through quite a few phases of self-awareness and the story shows how love aids her during an episode.”
The movie shoot is expected to begin as soon as Sunny completes his current commitments. “I am shooting for a Telugu project as well, at the moment,” she says.
Rahul, one of the directors of the film, says, “About 90% of film will have snow. We have already shot a song in Kufri, Shimla, and that was released on social media. All the directors were assistants of Ennu Ninte Moideen director R S Vimal.”
Co-director P Jimshar has scripted the film, which has Govind Vasantha as its music director.
