After Mammootty-starrer Manglish, director Salam Bappu is already working on his next project. There are news that writer Anita Nair’s short story, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad, will be made into a film. When contacted, Salam Bappu confirmed the news and said, “Anita Nair has agreed to write the script, but the casting and other details are yet to be finalised. I have two other projects with Mammen K Rajen and Jithu Damodaran, respectively.
I am yet to finalise which script to work on first.”
Anita’s novel Lessons in Forgetting’s screen adaptation directed by Unni Vijayan had won the 2012 National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English. Anita Nair says, “The short story will be just a starting platform for the film. Unfortunately, my short story doesn’t have all the elements needed for a film. The movie will see a strong female and male character and I would say this will be a good cinema with commercial potential.”
